Patient Monitoring
About
Client name is protected under NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement).
The company offers monitoring tools for individuals with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and their treatment teams. Using smartphone-based tests, people with MS can objectively measure, view, and track their symptoms over time, providing transparency into disease progression. This capability supports personalized treatment plans and empowers individuals to exert greater control over MS management.

Problem
Business Challenge
The current patient monitoring system was outdated and faced numerous issues related to user experience and data complexity. The primary user group targeted was caregivers, who encountered accessibility issues with the old software. The system was predominantly developed by engineers with minimal involvement from designers.
User Challenge
The primary users of the software were caregivers and coordinators responsible for monitoring MS patients and managing sensitive medical device data. However, they faced accessibility challenges with the old system, primarily due to its complex and inadequate user experience.

Solution
We collaborated with healthcare domain experts and the development team that created the initial app version to enhance the user experience, addressing every pain point of the old app. This included improving caregiver system onboarding, patient profiles, data visualization, and administrative controls.

Impact
We managed to improve patient monitoring by making data more readable and enhancing visualization, resulting in a more effective caregiver software experience. Additionally, there was a noticeable impact on the administrative side, with significant improvements made to admin controls and user management.
